PROFILE
Ms Azizah binti Mahamud was born on July 7, 1959 in Alor Setar, Kedah. She received her early education in Alor Setar. Ms Azizah Mahamud earned her LL.B from Malaya University in 1984. She joined the Judicial and Legal Service in July 1984 and began her career as legal officer at Kuala Lumpur High Court. She later held several judicial positions including Magistrate, Senior Assistant Registrar, Deputy Registrar and Sessions Court judge at various courts in the country. On November 16, 1999, Ms Azizah binti Mahamud was appointed as a Deputy Chairman of the Tribunal in the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumers Affairs. She was then promoted to State Court Director of Terengganu in 2009 and later Kuala Lumpur until March 14, 2012. Beginning March 15, 2012, Ms Azizah binti Mahamud is serving the Judiciary as Deputy Chief Registrar of the Federal Court of Malaysia. She married Mr Ahmad bin Saad (deceased) and has 3 children.
