The Honourable Tan Sri Ahmad Bin Haji Maarop was born on 25 May 1953 in Kampung Serkam, Melaka. His Lordship obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from University of Malaya in 1978.
His Lordship held the following positions:

His Lordship is married to Datin Zainon bt. Hj Zainuddin and is blessed with 3 children.
