Mr Roslan bin Abu Bakar was born on June 5, 1961 in Penang. He obtained his LL.B from Malaya University in 1985. Mr Roslan bin Abu Bakar joined the Judicial and Legal Service in July 1, 1985 and was appointed as a legal officer at the Attorney General’s Chambers. He was later posted as a Magistrate in Perak and had served there for 8 years.
Mr Roslan’s work experience is very colourful. He had served the Judiciary and Attorney General’s Chambers in various positions. He served the Attorney General’s Chambers as Deputy Public Prosecutor, Head of State Prosecution Unit in the states of Penang, Perlis, Kuala Lumpur and Negeri Sembilan and was also appointed as State Legal Advisor of Perlis. Apart from leading the prosecution team, Mr. Roslan had also served the Judicial and Legal Training Institute as Director of Civil Programme (and later joined the Prosecution Programme).In 2007, he served the Department of Insolvency as Deputy Director General and later he was made Chairman of Industrial Court from 2010 to 2011. On September 15, 2011, Mr. Roslan bin Abu Bakar was promoted to State Court Director of Perak. Beginning February 1, 2013, he is serving the Judiciary as Registrar of the High Court of Malaya. Mr. Roslan bin Abu Bakar married Ms Zatifah binti Jaafar and has 3 children; Mohd Aizuddin, Mohd Hafizuddin and Mohd Naqiuddin. |
