PETALING JAYA: An unemployed Pakistani man was sentenced to eight months’ jail by the Magistrate’s Court here today for causing hurt on his wife with a mobile phone charger.
KOTA KINABALU: A former Malaysia Airport Holding Berhad (MAHB) executive officer pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court here today to five counts of cheating involving RM41,000 from 2010 to 2014.
BUTTERWORTH: A lorry driver was fined RM4,000, in default two months’ jail, by the Magistrate’s Court here today, for transporting three pigs without permission from the Penang Veterinary Service Department.
KUALA LUMPUR: A businessman who made headlines after he escaped from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) building in October last year, was arraigned in the Sessions Court here on money laundering charges involving over RM2.1 million.
IPOH: Four people have been remanded for six days to help in investigations into the submission of false claims involving government contracts worth about RM3.7 million between 2017 and last year.
