PROFILE
Dilahirkan pada 18.4.1942 di Permatang Tinggi Bakar Bata, Kepala Batas, Seberang Perai, Pulau Pinang.
Mendapat pendidikan awal di:
- Sekolah Melayu Paya Keladi, Kepala Batas, Seberang Perai;
- St. Mark’s Branch School, Perai, Seberang Perai;
- St. Mark’s Secondary School, Butterworth, Seberang Perai;
- St. Xavier’s Institution, Pulau Pinang.
Pada tahun1965, melanjutkan pelajaran di University of Singapore dalam jurusan undang-undang dan dalam tahun1969 mendapat ijazah LL.B (Hon.).
Pada 11.6.1969 memasuki Perkhidmatan Kehakiman dan Perundangan. Dalam tempoh 21 tahun dalam perkhidmatan itu, menjawat jawatan-jawatan:
- Majistret di Kangar, Perlis dan Tapah, Perak;
- Yang Dipertua Mahkamah Sesyen, Sungai Patani, Kedah dan Kuala Kubu Baharu, Selangor;
- Penolong Pengarah Biro Bantuan Guaman, Kedah dan Perlis;
- Timbalan Pendaftar Mahkamah Tinggi Malaya;
- Penasihat Undang-Undang Negeri Kelantan dan Perak;
- Peguam Kanan Persekutuan Jabatan Hasil Dalam Negeri;
- Ketua Bahagian Pendakwaan (Jenayah) di Jabatan Peguam Negara.
Pada 1.5.1990 dilantik menjadi Pesuruhjaya Kehakiman dan ditempatkan di Mahkamah Tinggi Pulau Pinang.
Pada 1.3.1992 dilantik menjadi Hakim Mahkamah Tinggi dan terus bertugas di Pulau Pinang. Pada 16.10.1999 ditukarkan ke Mahkamah Tinggi Kuala Lumpur.
Pada 1.9.2000 dilantik menjadi Hakim Mahkamah Rayuan Malaysia.
Pada 1.8.2003 dilantik menjadi Hakim Mahkamah Persekutuan Malaysia.
Pada 1.4.2007 dilantik menjadi Hakim Mahkamah Khas di bawah Perkara 182(1) Perlembagaan Persekutuan untuk tempoh selama dua tahun (1.4.2007 – 31.3.2009)
Pada 5.9.2007 dilantik menjadi Presiden Mahkamah Rayuan Malaysia.
Pernah memegang jawatan-jawatan, antara lain:

- Penolong Setiausaha Malaysian Branch of the Royal Asiatic Society;
- Presiden Persatuan Memancing Pulau Pinang;

Pada masa ini menjadi:

Telah menulis 555 penghakiman lengkap yang terdiri daripada 475 penghakiman Mahkamah Tinggi, 53 penghakiman Mahkamah Rayuan dan 27 penghakiman Mahkamah Persekutuan mengenai pelbagai persoalan undang-undang. Penghakiman-penghakiman itu disiarkan oleh jernal-jernal undang-undang di Malaysia.
Kerap diundang membentang kertas kerja dan memberi syarahan di seminar-seminar dan persidangan-persidangan di peringkat negeri, kebangsaan dan antarabangsa. Antara kertas-kertas kerja, artikel dan syarahan yang telah disiarkan termasuk:

PROFILE
The Right Honourable Mr. Justice Tan Sri Zaki Tun Azmi was born on September 12, 1945 in Alor Setar, Kedah. He had his early education at Sultan Abdul Hamid College, Alor Setar, Anderson School, Ipoh and English College, Johor Bahru. His Lordship then read in the Lincoln’s Inn, London and obtained a Barrister-at-Law in 1969.
Upon graduation, his Lordship started his career with the Attorney General Chambers from December 1969 to 1970. He was appointed as a Magistrate in Kuala Lumpur in 1970 and in 1971 as a President of the Sessions Court in Ipoh. In 1973, his Lordship was appointed as a Federal Counsel at the Drafting Division in the Attorney General Chambers and later in 1976, a Senior Federal Counsel at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
In 1985, his Lordship made his way into legal practice as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya at Messrs. Shahrizat Rashid & Lee. Starting from 1 September 2006 until 4 September 2007, he continued to serve as a consultant as well as an advocate and solicitor.
His Lordship held a number of posts as a member of the Abandoned Housing Project Scheme Panel and National Sports Panel, the Brains Trust ISIS for K-Economy, National Sports Council Advisory Panel and a Trustee of SP Setia Foundation. His Lordship was also an Arbitrator in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. In 2004, his Lordship was appointed to the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the Police Force.
While being an active practicing lawyer, he was in the Board of public listed companies, such as Petroliam Nasional Berhad in which he was also a Chairman of the Audit Committee for a period of over 18 years.
On 5 September 2007, his Lordship was appointed as a Federal Court Judge and on 11 December 2007, elevated as the President of the Court of Appeal.
His Lordship is married to Puan Sri Datin Nik Sazlina Mohd Zain and blessed with four children, Dzofrain Azmi, Razif Azmi, Azri Azmi and Azfar Azmi.

PROFILE
The Right Honorable Mr. Justice Tan Sri Richard Malanjum was born on October 13, 1952 in Tuaran, Sabah (then North Borneo). He had his early education at the Government Primary School Buit Hill, Putatan; Sacred Heart Primary School Kota Kinabalu and completed his secondary education at the La Salle Secondary School, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
His Lordship then worked as a clerk with the Education Department, Agriculture Department, Radio & Television Department and as a Welfare Officer with the State Welfare Department before proceeding in July 1972 to read for his Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B) as an external student of the University of London at the MARA Institute of Technology in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia (now University Institute Technology MARA - UiTM). He has successfully managed to complete the course within the minimum period of 3 years and was conferred the degree with second class honours in August, 1975. His Lordship was also named the best law graduate of the Institute. He received his award from the former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad who was then the Minister of Education.
Upon graduation with the law degree, his Lordship was appointed as an Administrative Officer with the Chief Minister's Department, Sabah but was assigned the duties as a Deputy Public Prosecutor with the State Attorney General's Chambers, Sabah. He was also a part-time lecturer in law at the MARA Institute of Technology (Sabah Campus). After working for a while to help finance his further study, his Lordship proceeded to London in April 1976 and successfully completed his Bar-at-Law study in the same year. Thereafter he was called to the English Bar of the Honourable Society of Gray's Inn, London. In November 1977, his Lordship was admitted as an Advocate to the Sabah Bar and to the Australian Capitol Territory (ACT) Bar in 1991. On his return from London, his Lordship resumed his service with the State Attorney General's Chamber as a Deputy Public Prosecutor and as a State Counsel.
In August 1981, his Lordship ventured into private legal practice in Kota Kinabalu and had a very successful practice until his Lordship's appointment as a Juidicial Commissioner in March 1992.
His Lordship has earned the distinction of being the first bumiputra/native of Sabah to be elevated to the high office of a Judge of the High Court and the first Sabahan to be elevated as a Judge of the Court of Appeal and the Federal Court, the apex court of the country. He became one of the youngest Judges, at the age of 52 years old, in the history of the Malaysian Judiciary to be elevated to that position. On 26 th July 2006, for the first time since the formation of Malaysia his Lordship at the age of 53 years old became the first Sabahan to be elevated as the Chief Judge of the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak . Previously the post was held by a British, Peninsula Malaysia or Sarawak Judge respectively.
He has three children, Jessica, Edgar and Carl.
