The Right Honourable Mr. Justice Tun Dato' Seri Zaki Tun Azmi was born on September 12, 1945 in Alor Setar, Kedah. He had his early education at Sultan Abdul Hamid College, Alor Setar, Anderson School, Ipoh and English College, Johor Bahru. His Lordship then read in the Lincoln’s Inn, London and obtained a Barrister-at-Law in 1969.
Upon graduation, his Lordship started his career with the Attorney General Chambers from December 1969 to 1970. He was appointed as a Magistrate in Kuala Lumpur in 1970 and in 1971 as a President of the Sessions Court in Ipoh. In 1973, his Lordship was appointed as a Federal Counsel at the Drafting Division in the Attorney General Chambers and later in 1976, a Senior Federal Counsel at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
In 1985, his Lordship made his way into legal practice as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya at Messrs. Shahrizat Rashid & Lee. Starting from 1 September 2006 until 4 September 2007, he continued to serve as a consultant as well as an advocate and solicitor.
His Lordship held a number of posts as a member of the Abandoned Housing Project Scheme Panel and National Sports Panel, the Brains Trust ISIS for K-Economy, National Sports Council Advisory Panel and a Trustee of SP Setia Foundation. His Lordship was also an Arbitrator in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. In 2004, his Lordship was appointed to the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the Police Force.
While being an active practicing lawyer, he was in the Board of public listed companies, such as Petroliam Nasional Berhad in which he was also a Chairman of the Audit Committee for a period of over 18 years.
On 5 September 2007, his Lordship was appointed as a Federal Court Judge and on 11 December 2007, elevated as the President of the Court of Appeal.
His Lordship is married to Toh Puan Datin Seri Nik Sazlina Mohd Zain and blessed with four children, Dzofrain Azmi, Razif Azmi, Azri Azmi and Azfar Azmi.

PROFILE
The Right Honourable Mr. Justice Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Alauddin Bin Dato’ Mohd. Sheriff was born on 7th August 1946 in Kulim Kedah. He had his early education at the Sekolah Menengah Sultan Badlishah, Kulim and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Ibrahim, Sungai Petani and thereafter at the Sultan Abdul Hamid College, Alor Star. His Lordship gained admission to further his studies at the University of Malaya in 1966. His Lordship whilst at the University was offered a scholarship to read law at the Inner Temple, London in 1967. In 1970 His Lordship was admitted as a Barrister-at-Law of Inner Temple.
Upon graduation, His Lordship has held various posts in the legal and judicial service since 1971. His Lordship started his career with the Judiciary by being appointed as a Magistrate in Bukit Mertajam in 1971 and in Kangar in 1972. Thereafter His Lordship was appointed as President of Session’s Court in Sungai Petani, Kuantan and Taiping . In 1977 His Lordship was appointed as the Senior Federal Counsel with the Income Tax Department and the Attorney General’s Chambers. Thereafter His Lordship was appointed as the Legal Advisor for the State of Johore on October 1980 and again in June 1983. On 1st April 1982 His Lordship took the Office of the Legal Advisor of Negeri Sembilan. On 1st June 1979, His Lordship was seconded to Petronas Carigali as the Secretary cum Legal Advisor. His Lordship was then appointed as the Chairman of the Advisory Board in the Prime Minister’s Department since 1st June 1989.
His Lordship was appointed as a Judicial Commissioner of the High Court of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur on 1St February 1992 and was transferred to the High Court of Malaya in Johore in the same year. His Lordship was later elevated as the Judge of the High Court wherein he had served in the High Courts of Johore, Kangar, Perils and Alor Star before being elevated to the Court of Appeal on 15t April 2001. After serving 3 years 3 months and 12 days in the Court of Appeal, His Lordship was elevated to the Federal Court of Malaysia, on 12th July 2004. During his tenure as a Judge of the Federal Court, His Lordship had the occasion of carrying out the duties and functions of the President of the Court of Appeal from 15th August 2006 till 4th September 2007.
On 5th September 2007, His Lordship was appointed as the Chief Judge of Malaya and on 18th October 2008 he was elevated as the President of the Court of Appeal.
His Lordship is married to Puan Sri Datin Seri Munirah Binti Hj Abd. Rahman and they are blessed with 3 children, Khairani, Mohd Imnan and Shuhada.

Pada tahun yang sama beliau telah menyertai Perkhidmatan Kehakiman dan Perundangan. Antara jawatan yang telah disandang beliau adalah termasuk sebagai Peguam Persekutuan Mahkamah Tinggi Malaya. Pada tahun 1978 beliau telah dilantik sebagai Penasihat Undang-Undang, Kementerian Perusahaan Utama sebelum melanjutkan pelajaran ke United Kingdom. Pada tahun 1978 beliau telah mengikuti kursus LLM di University College London dalam bidang undang-undang percukaian dan pada masa yang sama mengikuti kursus Bar Final. Lulus Bar Final Examination tahun 1979 dan telah diterima masuk sebagai Barrister oleh Lincoln’s Inn. Pada tahun yang sama beliau telah dianugerahkan ijazah LLM oleh university of London.
Sepulangnya dari pengajian beliau telah memegang beberapa jawatan penting dalam Kerajaan termasuk Peguam Kanan Persekutuan Di Jabatan Peguam Negara dan Jabatan Hasil Dalam Negeri. Pada tahun 1981 beliau telah dilantik sebagai Penasihat Undang-undang Negeri Melaka sehingga1983. Kemudiannya beliau telah berpindah ke Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam sebagai Penasihat Undang-Undang Parlimen. Jawatan terakhir yang disandangnya di dalam perkhidmatan awam ialah sebagai Ketua Bahagian Undang-Undang Di Jabatan Hasil Dalam Negeri. Sepanjang di dalam perkhidmatan kerajaan, beliau telah mewakili Kerajaan Malaysia di dalam rundingan antara bangsa seperti “International Tin Agreement” dan perjanjian-perjanjian cukai dua hala.
Pada 1.3.1992 beliau telah dilantik sebagai Pesuruhjaya Kehakiman. Dua tahun kemudian dilantik sebagai Hakim Mahkamah Tinggi Malaya. Pada tahun 2002 dilantik sebagai Hakim Mahkamah
Rayuan dan pada tahun 2005 dilantik sebagai Hakim Mahkamah Persekutuan. Beliau juga dilantik ke beberapa badan lain sepanjang perkhidmatannya sebagai Hakim iaitu :
- Anggota Panel Mahkamah Rayuan Syariah Negeri Kelantan;
- Hakim Mahkamah Khas menurut Perkara 182(1) Perlembagaan Persekutuan;
- Ahli Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Kehakiman & Perundangan;
- Ahli Lembaga Kelayakan Di Bawah Seksyen 7(b) Akta Profession Undang-Undang 1976;
- Ahli Jawatankuasa Kaedah-Kaedah Mahkamah dan Kaedah-Kaedaah Mahkamah Rendah.
Sebagai penghargaan kepada perkhidmatan beliau kepada Negara beliau telah dianugerahkan darjah-darjah kebesaran berikut:

- Darjah Dato’ Paduka Mahkota Kelantan (30.3.1999)

Chief Judge of the High Court in Sabah and Sarawak

PROFILE
The Right Honorable Mr. Justice Tan Sri Richard Malanjum was born on October 13, 1952 in Tuaran, Sabah (then North Borneo). He had his early education at the Government Primary School Buit Hill, Putatan; Sacred Heart Primary School Kota Kinabalu and completed his secondary education at the La Salle Secondary School, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
His Lordship then worked as a clerk with the Education Department, Agriculture Department, Radio & Television Department and as a Welfare Officer with the State Welfare Department before proceeding in July 1972 to read for his Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B) as an external student of the University of London at the MARA Institute of Technology in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia (now University Institute Technology MARA - UiTM). He has successfully managed to complete the course within the minimum period of 3 years and was conferred the degree with second class honours in August, 1975. His Lordship was also named the best law graduate of the Institute. He received his award from the former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad who was then the Minister of Education.
Upon graduation with the law degree, his Lordship was appointed as an Administrative Officer with the Chief Minister's Department, Sabah but was assigned the duties as a Deputy Public Prosecutor with the State Attorney General's Chambers, Sabah. He was also a part-time lecturer in law at the MARA Institute of Technology (Sabah Campus). After working for a while to help finance his further study, his Lordship proceeded to London in April 1976 and successfully completed his Bar-at-Law study in the same year. Thereafter he was called to the English Bar of the Honourable Society of Gray's Inn, London. In November 1977, his Lordship was admitted as an Advocate to the Sabah Bar and to the Australian Capitol Territory (ACT) Bar in 1991. On his return from London, his Lordship resumed his service with the State Attorney General's Chamber as a Deputy Public Prosecutor and as a State Counsel.
In August 1981, his Lordship ventured into private legal practice in Kota Kinabalu and had a very successful practice until his Lordship's appointment as a Juidicial Commissioner in March 1992.
His Lordship has earned the distinction of being the first bumiputra/native of Sabah to be elevated to the high office of a Judge of the High Court and the first Sabahan to be elevated as a Judge of the Court of Appeal and the Federal Court, the apex court of the country. He became one of the youngest Judges, at the age of 52 years old, in the history of the Malaysian Judiciary to be elevated to that position. On 26 th July 2006, for the first time since the formation of Malaysia his Lordship at the age of 53 years old became the first Sabahan to be elevated as the Chief Judge of the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak . Previously the post was held by a British, Peninsula Malaysia or Sarawak Judge respectively.
He has three children, Jessica, Edgar and Carl.
