E-Court Division
INTRODUCTION
e-Court Division was set-up since January 2013 to implement the e-Court System and to ensure the efficiency of the technical aspects, compliance with laws and court work processes including change of management, so that the implementation of e-Court System meets the requirements of the public and stakeholders.
The Division is led by a Director and assisted by several Deputy Registrars, Senior Assistant Registrars, Assistant Registrars along with supporting staffs. The Division, in collaboration with the Information Technology Division with the supervision of the Deputy Registrar (Operations) are responsible in esuring the Chief Registrar's Office Strategic Planning (2016-2020) and Information Technology Strategic Planning (2016-2020) progressed smoothly as planned.
ROLE AND FUNCTION
- To monitor the transformation and innovation of the court's work processes from manual to digital for civil and criminal cases in any level of court;
- To ensure that the application system modules are developed and implemented in compliance with the laws and work processes of the Courts and the requirements set by the stakeholders;
- To ensure the competency and efficiency of the e-Court System;
- To manage the transformation and innovation to integrate the e-Court System with all other system applications of all related state agencies for sharing of information and data; and
- To support the Chief Registrar's Office in setting up the policies and administration for the digital implementation of the work process concerning civil and criminal cases.
THE FUNCTIONS OF E-COURT DIVISION
Civil Unit
- To ensure the parameters of the civil cases are updated at all times; and
- To ensure the proficiency of the system integrated with the JPN, JKPTG, Bar Council, Department of Insolvency, other related agencies, and statutory bodies.
Criminal Unit
- To ensure the parameters of the criminal cases are updated at all times; and
- To ensure the proficiency of the system integrated with the PDRM, JPJ, Prisons Department, and other enforcement agencies.
Appellate Unit
- To ensure the parameters of the appeal cases are updated at all time
Transformation Management And Support Services Unit
- To manage complaints relating to the Court system in terms of legislation and the work process of the Courts; • To regulate the changes in implementing the system to all court users, government agencies, lawyers, and the public; and
- To conduct customer satisfaction surveys and research for the improvement of systems and operations.
Training Unit
- To conduct training for all users of e-Court systems; and
- Ensure the training manuals, user manuals, and information about the System are displayed in all the portals and constantly updated.
