INTRODUCTION

Practicing Certificates Unit is a unit responsible to manage Practicing Certificates of Legal Practitioners and Foreign Interpreters’ Service. This Unit is led by a head unit and is assisted by a Senior Assistant Registrar. This Unit is supervised by the Registrar's Office of the High Court of Malaya.

ROLE AND FUNCTION PRACTICING CERTIFICATES UNIT

1. To appoint, regulate and provide Court Appointed Foreign Interpreters via the e-Jurubahasa portal, for criminal cases throughout Malaysia;
2. To process the Practicing Certificate received from the Bar Council of Malaysia; and
3. To assist in the service of documents out of the jurisdiction.
