INTRODUCTION

Practising Certificate Unit is a unit under the supervision of The Registrar’s Office of the High Court of Malaya. This unit is headed by a Unit Head.

ROLE AND FUNCTION PRACTISING CERTIFICATE UNIT

1. To appoint, regulate and provide Court Appointed Foreign Interpreters via the e-Jurubahasa portal, for criminal cases throughout Malaysia;
2. To process the Practicing Certificate received from the Bar Council of Malaysia;
3. To assist in the service of documents out of the jurisdiction; and
4. To manage the registration of orders with respect to the maintenance from the reciprocal countries pursuant to section 3 of the Maintenance Order Act (Enforcement Facility) 1949.
