INTRODUCTION

The Library Branch is one of the branches under the PKPMP Management Division. This branch is headed by a Chief Librarian and is supported by one (1) Librarian and ten (10) Assistant Librarians..

LIBRARY FUNCTIONS

  1. To provide library resource collections to members of the Judiciary.
  2. To manage and provide access to online legal information resources.
  3. To provide library services to members of the Judiciary.
  4. To serve as the main driver in fostering a reading culture among members of the Judiciary.

 

SERVICES

  1. Legal Collection
    • Provides up-to-date legal collections to members of the Judiciary, such as reference books, statutes, and legal reports.
  2. Collection of Grounds of Judgment
    • Collects and binds compilations of grounds of judgment for reference by members of the Judiciary.
  3. Online Information
    • The Library subscribes to legal databases and e-books such as Lexis+, Westlaw, CLJPrime, Lawnet, e-Law, MyLawbox, HeinOnline, Lexread and Thomson Reuters.
    • The Library develops digital copies in PDF and ePub formats of older legal collections for material preservation and for reference by members of the Judiciary.
  4. Reference and Information Search
    • This service is provided to assist users in obtaining the required materials and information.
  5. Newspaper Clippings
    • Provides newspaper articles related to judgments and court cases to members of the Judiciary.
  6. Loans and Returns
    • This service is open exclusively to members of the Judiciary.
  7. Interlibrary Loan
    • This service is provided to enable members of the Judiciary to borrow books and obtain copies of documents/articles from other libraries.
    • Provides book lending services to other libraries.
